I really love the idea of invitations and save that dates that have other functional uses.
After some brainstorming and A LOT of bad ideas, I decided to have vintage motel key tags made. Not only do they announce our wedding date but they can also be used as a cute keychain!
Here are the steps I took to bring my vision to life!
- FIND THE RIGHT VENDOR
Hands down the most difficult part of the process is finding a vendor you can trust. I spoke with a few who had a lot of unnecessary fees or insisted I pay before even sending me any designs to approve.
Eventually I stumbled across Three Potato Four. A super cute company that was so incredibly helpful. The design process was VERY EASY and the pricing was fair (there are no hidden fees!! )
I had a general idea of what I wanted the key tags to look like which I explained to them VIA email. They then sent me different drafts to approve. THE PROCESS WAS EXTREMELY EASY. I keep emphasizing this because I tried to work with several other vendors who made it VERY complicated.
3. FINAL PRODUCT
I purchased some gold tassels to give the keychains a little pop (linked here) I was going for that vintage hotel key vibe.
All in all I love how they turned out and I hope the people receiving them actually use them on their keys =)
